Mission - To promote an enhanced quality of life for citizens of Kansas communities through education, leadership development and recognition.

Kansas PRIDE, Inc. serves as the nonprofit partner to the Kansas Community Empowerment program. Kansas PRIDE, Inc. provides guidance to the program through its membership, which is made up of Kansas Community Empowerment (KCE) participant representatives, sponsors that serve participating communities, as well as representatives from K-State Research and Extension, the Kansas Department of Commerce, the League of Kansas Municipalities, and the Kansas Association of Counties. The board works to provide advice and guidance to program staff in the areas of education, leadership development and recognition.

Kansas PRIDE, Inc. raises funds annually to provide grant opportunities to KCE communities, specifically through the Community of Growth and Community of Action grants, as well as recognition opportunities through the Project Excellence and Rising Star awards.
