Participation is easy, all your community has to do is enroll, submit a resolution of government support, and submit quarterly reports. Enrollment and use of our database for storing your quarterly effort reports is completely free of cost.

Being enrolled, having a resolution filed, and quarterly reports up to date, helps your community to be eligible for awards and program grants.

Being a KCE participant gives you access to expert knowledge of KCE program staff and partners, which includes guidance, facilitating community discussions, community assessment assistance, and network connections.

Your community also has access to quality, volunteer organization specific education, provided through our Community Toolkit and informational videos.

The Kansas Community Empowerment (KCE) program works to promote the work of other not for profit entities that provide resources for communities, such as education, training, funding and educational opportunities.

Some partners, such as the Kansas Masons, and the Dane. G. Hansen Foundation, provide funding to support KCE staff.

Did you know that some communities, such as unincorporated, very rural or large municipal neighborhood communities sometimes have little to no resources for meeting their organizational goals? These goals range from providing backpack snacks for underserved youth to building community centers. A great way to support Kansas Community Empowerment communities is to provide donations to our program partner, Kansas PRIDE, Inc.
